Cascade Home Center

From Vinal T. Randall Building Service, to Randall and Wolcott Building Service, to Witts Home Center, to the current Cascade Home Center, businesses on the northwest corner of 6th and Washington in downtown Cottage Grove have been supplying hardware, lumber and building materials to local residents for over 75 years. Portions of the current structure, which is made up of several small buildings, have been home to a blacksmith, a trucking transfer company, a reading room and a real estate office, as well as hardware and building materials. Parts of the current building were constructed as early as 1906 and the original false facades from the buildings erected in 1906 and 1918 still exist today. Originally a one-person operation, Cascade Home Center now employs a staff of 29 people and occupies the equivalent of a city block. With its’ expansion into other areas of retail sales such as paint, lawn and garden and equipment rental, Cascade has continued to grow in providing for the needs of the community. With a commitment to ‘service excellence’ and a belief that customer satisfaction breeds success, Cascade strives to meet the needs of all its’ customers each and every day.

Cascade Home Center expanded into Creswell in 1999 with the purchase of Creswell Hardware and moved that business to its’ current location on S. Mill Street in 2005. In consolidating the businesses, Cascade was able to diversify the products carried in the two stores, allowing for a greater product offering to the public. Cascade Home Centers not only provide for the retail consumer, but also supply many of the local contractors with their building material needs. Cascade Home Center’s delivery area has included areas north of Eugene/ Springfield to south of Roseburg and from the Coast to the Cascades.

Cascade Home Center is proud of its history with Cottage Grove. It is strongly committed to the growth and success of the community and supports it financially as well as through employee involvement in community organizations. Looking forward, we only see continued opportunity for growth and success for Cottage Grove and feel grateful for the opportunity to live and work in such a beautiful place.
